Welcome to the Old Rectory Bed and Breakfast
The Old Rectory is an 18th century house over looking the beautiful waters of Loch Fyne. It is ideally situated to explore the historic town of Inveraray or venture further afield across Scotland’s spectacular West Coast.
As well as your own guest bedroom The Old Rectory has a large lounge where you can sit and relax in front of the roaring fire with a book or paper or look out to the Loch and watch out for boats and seals and last year we even had a whale! TV, DVDs, games, books, guides and maps are available. We also have a large bright conservatory where breakfast is served and tea and coffee are available all day.
Doubles, singles, families and group bookings are welcome. Many of our rooms have Loch views. Freshly laundered white cotton sheets and towels are in all the rooms. Breakfast includes cereals, juice, local eggs and bacon and home made bread, jam and fresh pots of tea and cafetierres of coffee. We also have a guest car park.
Inveraray is a small friendly town with much to do perhaps a wander around the Castle, the home of the Duke of Argyll and seat of Clan Campbell, or visit the historical 17th century Jail. Indulgence is also a good thing and whether it’s some Loch Fyne Seafood, perhaps a spot of haggis or some home made cake that tempts your fancy it can be found in Inveraray and let’s not forget a pint of the local ale or maybe a wee dram of the old malt whisky! Of course the natural beauty of the area is some thing to behold and from gentle walks to full blown hikes and climbs it’s all here.
Further a field there are many scenic drives on the Loch roads to Dunoon, Oban, Kilmartin Glen and of course Glen Coe. Many activities are also available locally including fishing, golf, horse riding, ice climbing, tennis and boats and ferry trips. We would be happy to advise on things to see and do.
The Old Rectory has an informal, relaxed atmosphere and we hope you will feel very welcome.
